With the ongoing pandemic, we need to do things a bit differently this year for the Holiday Social. We polled members to see what they thought and have arrived at a plan that we think will include everyone.
“Storybook Holiday Memories”
Sunday, December 6
5:00 – 6:30 Experience Storybook Lane in Person at OTS
7:00 Virtual Event for Everyone
Experience Storybook Lane in Person
On December 6, beginning at 5:00 p.m. “Storybook Holiday Memories” will be open to members and their close family only. Selected scenes from Storybook Lane will be staged in the backyard garden outside of the Old Train Station.
Members can reserve a time slot (in 15-minute increments) and arrive during their time slot. We need to do this to comply with Oregon health guidelines at minimizing the number of people gathered in the space. COVID protocols will be in place and masks are required.
Guests will enter the OTS kitchen backdoor, pass through the decorated OTS lobby, pick up a holiday treat, and exit out the front door.
Members will be emailed a link to register for a 15-minute timeslot between 5:00PM and 6:30PM. Members can also leave a message at 503-992-1280, and a volunteer will call you back to reserve your time slot.
Please park on the east side of Main across from OTS. Please cross at the traffic light. Enter through the Garden Gate on Main Street. Handicapped accessible parking is available. Please specify if it is needed in your RSVP.
Virtual Event for Everyone
Beginning at 7:00 p.m., we will be hosting an online event via Facebook and YouTube with entertainment and holiday messages and memories. A link will be sent out for easy access to all.
For those unable to attend in person, a holiday treat may be delivered to you Sunday afternoon if you reserve by November 30 by calling 503-992-1280.
Happy Holidays to you and yours!
